This week, RAINS had the pleasure of hosting representatives from a partner, Gower Street, alongside with other civil society organizations (CSOs) for a roundtable discussion on Climate-Smart Agriculture. The meeting focused on strategies currently in use and new approaches to enhance agricultural sustainability. As part of the partner visit, they toured Tindang, a community in the Savelugu Municipal, where they engaged directly with beneficiaries of Gower Street’s agricultural policies and training programs. The discussions provided firsthand insights into indigenous foods, their nutritional and ecological benefits, and traditional seed preservation methods that help prevent extinction of the indigenous seed varieties.
