Soybean is among the major industrial and food crops grown worldwide in almost every region. The crop was introduced in to Ghana by Presbyterian Missionaries at the Aburi gardens 1910. It was used by farmers in the northern sector in communities such as Bimbila, Karaga, Nakpanduri, Bawku and Tilli, in their traditional foods.
